Just watched a great move called The Visitor. I think my favorite line in the movie was when Walter said, "I sound a lot better when he's playing with me."
so I went to netflix to put this in--do I trust you or what? But I was doing eighteen other things so I typed in what I remembered the title to be (way to much work to flip back and double check) I typed in The Victim, which is an Asian horror film where an actress reenacts scenes of rape and murder--only to find herself connected to the victim of these crimes. Good thing I didn't think that was the right film, so I flipped back and double checked :-)
I agree. It's a powerful movie that left me full of mixed emotions. Few movies get me to feel real concern for fictitious characters. Writer/director Tom McCarthy did it again (if you haven't seen The Station Agent, I'd recommend it, especially if you like The Visitor).
